The Trade Fair returns this weekend, inside The Adventures of Lagos Man. Two days in Victoria Island with everything out. New paintings on the walls. A few sculptures. Prints, tees and stickers on the table. Come and take your time, and leave with something small, or something you have to carry home carefully. Lagos Man is the worst version of me, and the strongest. This is the room where he gets let out. On Saturday the room also holds The Trade Fair. A blind drop of three new paintings about money, Old Money, New Money, and Midas, with 99 prints between them, and nobody chooses which one they get. Boxes are drawn when the sale closes and opened here, in front of everyone. Then the trading starts. Somebody is holding the one you want. You are holding the one they want.
