Produced by Slum to Stage Africa, Queen Amina of Zazzau is a dance production that brings to life the extraordinary story of one of Africa’s most iconic female leaders. Celebrating courage, leadership, resilience, and the enduring power of cultural heritage, the storyline will follow a futuristic angle while drawing lessons from the past of a Queen. The Executive Producer and Director Emmanuel Osahor is blending ballet, contemporary dance, music, and the artistic tech setup of a custom-stage, advanced lighting and sound systems, cinematic visuals and a large team of 55 dancers, quintet, designers and technicians to achieve this. Presented as part of Slum to Stage Africa’s 5th Anniversary Celebration, this exclusive gala evening brings together leaders, educators, artists, diplomats, and supporters for a night of world-class performance and meaningful impact. More than a cultural event, Queen Amina of Zazzau supports Slum to Stage Africa’s mission of equipping underserved children with the social and behavioural skills they need to thrive in school and in life through arts-based education. Join us for an unforgettable evening and be part of a movement that is transforming the future of education for young people across Africa.
