Keys to the City by CoDesign Collective is an urban development accelerator and mixer. Hosted in partnership with Alliance Française de Lagos / Mike Adenuga Centre, located at 9 Osborne Road, Ikoyi, this landmark event will bring together builders, changemakers, and backers to shape the future of African urban spaces. Conceived by CoDesign Collective, the event features a dynamic, hybrid format designed to maximize regional engagement and accelerate actionable urban projects: The Open Call: A high-stakes competition inviting creative builders—architects, developers, cultural producers, and infrapreneurs—to submit budding project visions that are ready to break ground within 3 months to 1 year. July 16 – 17, 2026 (Virtual Sessions): A two-day virtual sprint featuring high-impact masterclasses and interactive workshops. Brilliant minds will guide participating creative builders through: business planning, storytelling, and pitching mechanics needed to shape the built environment and prepare building developers and infrapreneurs for the grand finale. July 18, 2026 (In-Person Grand Finale): The ultimate climax at the Alliance Française auditorium. Following a thought-provoking keynote and panel discussion centered on the theme, "Creative Ways of Industrializing and Doing Power," the energy shifts to the live pitch. Out of the virtual cohort, six chosen presenters will take the physical stage to pitch their groundbreaking ideas live before an esteemed panel and a premium audience. "Keys to the City" is proudly supported by an elite network of partners committed to African creativity and innovation, including Alliance Française de Lagos, EandC Legal, Vibranium Valley, and Legrand.
